Cem Karsan is the founder and CIO of Kai Wealth, where he leads the development of innovative investment strategies and provides oversight on portfolio design and risk management. With over two decades of experience in market structure and derivatives, Mr. Karsan brings a unique approach to wealth management that emphasizes capital efficiency, dynamic allocation, and risk-aware strategies tailored to individual client needs.
Prior to founding Kai Wealth, Mr. Karsan established and led Kai Volatility Advisors, a specialized investment firm focused on volatility-driven strategies. Earlier in his career, during the Great Financial Crisis, he founded Precision Capital Management—a proprietary market-making firm that at its peak represented approximately 13% of the daily volume in S&P 500 options*.
Mr. Karsan earned a bachelor's degree from Rice University, where he triple-majored in Mathematical Economic Analysis, Policy Studies, and English. He also holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, with concentrations in Analytical Finance and Management & Strategy.
