Before founding Kai Wealth, he established and led Kai Volatility Advisors, a specialized investment firm focused on volatility-driven strategies. Earlier in his career, during the Great Financial Crisis, he ran a proprietary market-making firm that at its peak represented approximately 13% of the daily volume in S&P 500 options.*
Cem earned a bachelor's degree from Rice University, where he triple-majored in Mathematical Economic Analysis, Policy Studies, and English. He also holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, with concentrations in Analytical Finance and Management & Strategy.
